My vote is for a thorough cleaning of the wounds with sterile water and chlorhexadine and gently plucking the feathers 1/2" away from all wound edges. Then post new pictures.

Yes, tomorrow I will repeat the cleaning and then get new pictures. I did cut away some more feathers today just to get a better look. I will post and annotate what I'm seeing. I really don't understand what this flap is that is hanging out.

Hokum Coco they said has closed wounds with super glue, if we could get them to chime in I would feel better, however make sure the wound is totally clean before you glue it closed. I would use sterile normal saline (can buy at drug store) to clean and sterile 4 x 4 to dry, remove 4 x 4 and glue approximated edges so pelvic bone is covered with skin, you may need anothers help.

Whoa, is that her pelvic bone!? I felt the opposite side of her vent and did not feel a bone like structure. I will post a picture tomorrow in daylight and annotate what I'm seeing.

Not positive, but there is a chicken anatomy skeleton earlier on this thread, and based on what you are describing, I am concerned it could be. Try to locate the hen skeleton earlier on the thread and see what you think after looking at olga

If I'm understanding the view in the video she is laying on her right side. It looks to me like her vent is ripped but not prolapsed. I do agree with attempting to get her more upright. If you can't fashion a sling I think rolled up towels to prop her up would be good. If you can prop up her head some too. When they don't feel well they tuck their head in but I personally think having her neck slightly exstended would help with eating and breathing. If you can set her tail and the torn parts of her vent in alignment they could start to heal.
I'd also feed her anything she will eat. Even if you put it in the blender and make a chicken milk shake. I'm sure her throats is sore so soft liquidy food would be easier on her.

I did attempt to sit her a bit more upright but she wasn't liking it, so back to laying on her side. Yes, I do try to position her neck so she has some length, but she gets fussy and kinda ends up where she likes it so I leave her to put it there.
She does like whatever is soft. I am not sure I can align what is going on in her vent area. I tried pushing that flap in but it just comes right back out. It doesn't look like ripped skin, it just looks like it should be in rather than out. I'm perplexed. Will post new pics tomorrow.

I have not found this in the thread, but I do see I have missed some posts so I'm getting caught up. I will look online and find a bone chart. Good idea. I'm almost thinking this "bone" could be the thing the 'flap' was attached to?? IDK, I will have to look at the skeleton. Thank you.

Thank you, those are great. Good info.
Got up this morning and she was slightly mouth breathing although looked a bit more alert. Re-situated her and gave her some water then Metacam. After that kicks in I'll start her day with some yogurt and a mixture of Exact baby bird food. I will be back later with some better pics of the vent area.
