Fox attacked my duck! PLEASE HELP!!!

Oh, no.

I don't want to give false hope, but we don't know what is going on with her. Can you get her into a lukewarm bath deep enough to float in?

It may traumatize her too much, go with your instincts on that. You are right. She may have serious internal injuries. Kevin's advice was good. Keep her in, quiet, warm, with plenty to drink, and give some electrolytes when you get them. If you pray, I would do that, too.

I am wondering if there is air in her body cavity. That can happen with sudden blunt trauma, such as being shaken.
Yay, Amiga! I mean that you're here......hoping that the news gets better though.....

In that case I probably wouldn't be as concerned about that as a possibility. As long as she stays hydrated throughout the night hopefully some swelling will go down by the morning.

There are some herbs that help treat internal bleeding for people, but I don't know if they would be toxic to ducks, so I will just toss that idea out for you to consider.

The swelling could be from air in the body cavity (some injuries can cause that). Listen for a crackling sound. It usually works itself out over several days.

She is also bruising, and that can cause swelling, too.

Once she has had a chance to rest, perhaps tomorrow, you can get her into a lukewarm tub and let her float. You can see how she moves, and any muscle movement will help with swelling. She is going to be very very sore and tender.

Just keep watching her, listening, and offering her encouragement.

The others are somewhere safe now, I hope.

Yes i take herbs for myself but I'm too afraid to give them to her just in case.
Poor thing has to be in so much pain, is there anything i could give her for that?
I'll try the warm bath tomorrow.
The others are safe in their cage for the night sleeping, luckily they got away they're much faster than dixie is.

Poor gal, it sounds like a waiting game right now, just make her as comfortable as possible and watch over her.....probably let her spend the night inside with you so she can get some rest...she probably will be very sore and tender, as Amiga said. Put yourself in her shoes, you would be pretty sore too, but it sounds like she is doing okay for now. Are there any avian vets or anyone that specializes in fowl in your area? You can try calling someone like that if she declines...

yes i already have a little bed set up for her in my room.
