Basicly yes any vet can shorten a bone it is the risk of infection that can kill her

The biggest difference will be administration of any anesthesia or anesthetic. I would call around and at least try to find a vet that is comfortable working on a bird.Whenever I've taken chickens to the vets in the past no vet locally seems to be experienced in chickens. Will that make a difference do you Think? Or is shortening the bone and sewing up the skin the same on any animal?
