Mary came back out. She headed toward the barn to hunt for mice.

Dakota spotted Mary. He would catch a mouse for her if he knew how to hunt. Hmmmm maybe I could at least try. He headed out to catch mice. He listened hard and crept about in the tall grass. He sniffed in a hole and smelled a mouse. He dug in the little hole but instead of a mouse a rat came out. He lunged forward missing the rat. Soon it became a long chase. He lunged forward again and this time he caught the rat in his mouth. He trotted happily to Mary and offered her the rat.

Dakota smiled and handed her the rat. "It took a little while to get it but, I figured you might want it." He wagged his tail a little

Vasper waited a moment, then said to Sebastian, "Did ya get it out of your system? Or are your hormones still all akimbo? You know avoidance never works, the problem is still large as life, whenever you get back."

Sebastian was pacing again in front of them. He hadn't even known he had started. Enraged by his brother taunting he shot a barb at Vasper that was sure to wound. "Why don't you tell me all about love?! Why don't you, Vasper? Oh?! Wait, I know why! The reason your not forthcoming with that information! That's because you're as virgin as I am!" He yelled cruelly, before he ran off to hide in Red's old den.

Vasper looked down, deeply embarrassed. He couldn't look at anybody, especially not Ashton.

Ashton was disappointed in Sebastian. She looked at Vasper and her heart almost broke. "Vasper, don't lesson to him. He didn't mean it. He knows what you have sacrificed. In order to raise him up from a pup like you did, when you mother died. You didn't have time for any of that nonsense. Your no less in my eyes or in anyone else's for that matter. Look at me, Vasper. Please?" She said and waited until he slowly meet her eyes. She smiled at him and whispered, "There you are."She waited a second before she ordered, " Now you keep your head up. You are an extraordinary fox and a big brother. Who loves his younger brother very deeply." She finished smiling at him. What she left unspoken, was that she loved him very deeply and completely. But that was for a later time.

Dakota saw Sabastion run away. "Jeee, sorry Mary I'll be right back I'm gonna check on Sabastion." He had a worried look to his face as he walked off to find Sabastion. I wonder what's up? I knew something was wrong.

Ashton saw Dakota coming their way. She wasn't sure that was a good idea. He need to let Sebastian cool down. She went out to stop him.
