First it's Vasper saying stay here! Don't move! Now it's Mary!
Has every fox gone crazy today? His hunches were asleep. He didn't think he could move, if he tried.
Sebastian pondered some more. I don't know about this. Vasper said he was going hunting. but that was a while ago. He's usually back by now. and just when are we leaving? I hope we're not going tonight! If so, maybe I can try to stall him. But in his current mood, do you really want to do that? How do you know if it will work or for how long. It'll have to work." He finished to himself.

She finally got up and limped over to another house with one Easter Egger to replace Jacks. She hopped behind it until it got into Jack's yard, the geese saw her. Well, it was a wild goose chase! But they tables had turned.

She lightly grabbed the hen and sprinted to the coop. Tripping a few times, but she stuck the hen in the coop and closed it. She took another beating from the geese and was lucky they didn't break her neck.
She just laughed, this was actually funny. She was just some random fox hopping around like a dumby holding a chicken and being chased by geese.

She went into Jack's house. Jack was napping, thank goodness.
She rummaged through the things Jack had, and she finally found the Animal Safe Dye. Yes, why would he have it if he was against animal abuse? He snuck it away from his cousin who was visiting, his cousin planned to dye some chicks and give them to his kids and Jack protested.

She grabbed the small, orange bottle and covered Red's white spot on her tail why she was sleeping. (It's only temporary so she can take it off if she wants). That little difference should be fine. But just in-case she also covered one of her black paws in it. "Okay, she should be safe." Mary said and dragged Red back into her den.

Vasper came back to himself. He guessed by the sunshine on the canopy of the trees, that it was around noon. slowly standing up, not quite trusting his legs. He shook off the dry leaves that stuck to his fur. Then looked around.

That's when he saw Ashton just sitting there, not that far from him. Shocked he hadn't noticed her sooner. He asked her,"How long have you been there, little one?"

She looked around, not sure if she should tell the truth or not. She decided on the truth. I followed you about a half mile back." She stated.

Vasper, now genuinely embarrassed, looks everywhere but at her. "Well, this is awkward." He finally said.

"How so?" she asked. "That you have feelings or that you care very deeply? Fear not to be judged by such lofty emotions. It's those qualities that make you special, Vasper." Ashton said.

Vasper was surprised by her reply, then said, "You're wise beyond your years, little one. I just meant, my weakness was witnessed." he finally gathered enough courage to look her in the eyes.

"Well, I wasn't being a voyeur, I was simply watching over you, protecting you, from harm for once." She was the one who broke eye contact first. She looked up at a bird as it flew overhead. When she looked back at him, he was right in front of her. Completely taken of guard, she sprung back and squeaked out, "How did you do that! I didn't hear a thing!"

He just waited there until she settled down. Then he simply said, "Thank you." Then he nudged her cheek, with his muzzle. Then added, "If you would like Ashton, I could teach you how to do that?" He asked as he started walking back from the direction he had ran.

Ashton said excitedly, " That's all I've ever wanted in the world!"

Mary walked to the house and went inside again. "What in the world are you doing?" Jesus asked. "Because, whatever it is, keep doing it." Jesus said and smiled. "I need the plate of salmon, the one Jack forgot to put out." Mary said, "Now, please. If you will." She said nicely.

Jesus nudged the plate over to her. "Okay, well, Louie, Leo, get over here." She said. They came and sat down by the plate too. "You know how much the chickens love the salmon, well, know it's time where that connects. Make a salmon trail into the woods, I'll distract them so they follow the trail and eat the salmon." She said.

"Should we get Vasper and Sebastian?" Leo asked. "No, we will not bring them into this, they could get hurt and it'll all be over." She said. They all went out with salmon in their mouths, until they made a trail into the woods.

Mary got ready. She circled them playfully and hopped around, they snapped at her, so as she ran and ran to the trail and deep into the woods one of the Male geese noticed a salmon piece, they swallowed each one whole and followed the trail, wanting more. Mary then met Sebastian again. "Hello again." She said happily, much more positive then before, she laughed as the geese were just stupidly waddling and eating salmon, going away from their home. They completely missed Sebastian and Mary and just walked passed them as they saw more salmon ahead.

Sabastian looked over at Mary and said disheartened, "Isn't Jack going to blame us for that too? I mean he just bought them home and now they're in the woods eating his fish? How are we going to explain this?" He asks her.

"Well, he can't blame you because you left and he hasn't seen any signs of you, and I kinda put some temporary dye on Red's tail so she looks completely different to him and she's just sleeping in her re-made den. Well, at the pace they're eating it he will have no idea they ate the fish, and he'll probably think they just wandered off, but the trail leads to another flock of wild geese they'll probably join, so, problem solved!" Mary said happily.

"You truly are a vixen, aren't you Mary?" Sebastian asks with a toothy grin. "Remind me, never to pull a prank on you." He teased her further.

She laughed. "Well, I do tend to think ahead and work things out before I do them, I'm just kinda like that." She said and laughed. "But, if this all goes as planned, you may be able to stay! The really tricky part was replacing the dead hen..." She said. "I had to steal one from a house nearby that looked similar to the dead one." She said. She tried to stand on her other leg but she completely forgot that it was broken and winced.

"Oh! Mary what happened to you leg?" Sebastian asked with alarm. "What are we to do about this? Jack will be so mad. Do you think he can fix it? Why didn't you say anything sooner! How are we going to get you back to the farm? It's too far for you to walk there by yourself!"

She smiled, he always asked so many questions. "It's fine. It only hurts a lot if I try to walk on it. I bet Jack'll take me to the vet once he finds out. And I think I can walk back, I already walked all the way over here." She said.
