Dakota watched as Ruby left he was confused, what had happened? He was with Mary the whole time

Ruby looked up. "Oh, hi Amari." Ruby said and she dug up soft dirt from the den and patted it down to make the place soft.
 
Dakota nodded. "I'll stay in here." He said. He rested his head on his paws. He didn't want to be as annoying as a flea

She smiled and nuzzled him. "Just remember you don't have to stay behind." Mary said and walked outside.
