He smiled. "That seems a selfish thing to do...I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Why didn't he drive me away?" He asked.

Rieve smiled at him then said, "You had saved my life, so he owned you a debt of gratitude and I wasn't in heat." She looked around embarrassed.

He grinned. "I don't really like assigned mates. It's like "I don't even love you at all but my dad needs a heir so, yeah." " He said.

"His dad was a brute too. For however badly you may think of Castiel. He defied his father about a forced mating. Castiel is not his father's son
There are lines Cass will never cross. You have to remember that he was a victim too, Hans. Oh, you should have seen his face, he was so happy. I believe for the first time in his life. So don't judge him to harshly. He did keep me safe for you, in a way, if you think about it." Rieve said softly to him.

Rieve watched her, "That was quite amazing! She must be getting stronger." Rieve said happily.

He smiled. "Yep." He said.
"I want to see if I can get her to catch some road kill that's far away. But she'll probably just want to eat it, unless I trade." Hans said.
