Fox got my Chickens

I wish I had a friend like that!! We have 2 foxes...and they are killing all the neighbors chickens, as well as mine (penned and free-range!)...Such crappy little buggers! I hate it most when they kill more than one at a time, but leaves the rest

Looking at your pictures I am seeing "chicken wire"...its totally useless for protection, foxes, dogs, racoons, coyotes just go right through it...you need dog wire or welded wire to help keep them back. We have welded wire around ours and some of it then fenced with 1"chicken wire over the welded wire so that the young chickens can't get through.

Didn't see any today, but did not let the chickens out. Steel is set tonight. Good luck hunting everyone!

Hopefully I spelled everything right this time so I don't have to edit again...LOL!

Do not ever kill foxes! They are wild animals fighting for their lives. You should instead of force, use intellect and make your coop secure.

Lost one today in broad daylight whin I was home, using a miter saw making plenty of noise none the less. Heard a ruckus and went running. I was two late, one was missing. I tracked him for about a mile before I found the body. I'm with chickencrazymamahen, kill'em, kill'em all. Free ranging chickens in broad daylight should be safe when you are home. Something's wrong if you can't do that . Caught some footage on my security cameras too. Tell me how cute this big daddy is! He's chasing a 10lb jersey black giant roo. One of my favs none the less

I don't know why but when I have a fox problem I put out some freshly cooked bacon out for my chickens and and sit on my front porch with a shoot gun and the Fox are normally so greedy that I am ignored and they come over and get one little piece at a time and run off to eat it but I do not move for the first couple of takes and when the critter is out eating my bacon I set the shoot gun in place and just need to squeeze the trigger and as I am getting old I have to use a shoot gun and with a 3 & 1/2 inch , 12 gauge round of # 4 it really messes up their evening and I have watched Fox steep on my leg hold traps and never set them off from size 1, 2 3, 4 so they are defiantly light on the feet but I have also caught some in the same traps so it is luck of the draw I guess ....

Good luck hunting ....

What you do not see in this photo is my 3 year old BCM rooster and no it is all Mister Bob-Cat's doing he is not held in any way just wont let go so he stayed around and the animal control came and got his remains as that is what the recommends one to do so they can do their little what ever on them like test for poison and what not ..... Yes they are protested unless they are killing live stock ....
