I have a “homemade” electric fence around my pen. It killed a raccoon last weekend that tried to get into my ducks.

Only 120v but it is the amperage that kills. I could put a lower wattage light bulb in it and it would not be as strong.

That is true as of right now I have a 100w light bulb in it but thinking about lowering it to a 15 or 20. It is only on at night because my ducks run loose during the day.
