So, we have a little(actually rather big) problem with foxes here. Our small farm is surronded by fields and forests so we get a lot of wildlife. The trouble is we are trying to be self-suffiecient, and the best thing for fowls in that way is a chicken/duck tractor. We prefer to re-use wood and wire, but we have enough so thats not a problem. The problem is any tractors I/ we have made have been broken into by foxes or dogs, so we have turned to carrying the birds into inside houses for the night, which unsettles them and means they're not out for as long as they could be.
I was hoping by putting my problem to other experienced chicken-keepers I might get a few good design ideas for fox-proof tractors. Thanks!
