In the Brooder
Aww! I can’t get near my leghorn! We are neighbours BTW... Hampshire here!
I can’t catch her if I’m chasing her out in the garden, yet the children can haha
She’s very tame though
Hello- I’m waving!

This makes so much sense. We’re in the South east of England. We brought her in from the snow (during the storm)
Possibly I could keep her inside the summer house for a few days before letting her outside properly?
They’ll be no heat, but will be warmer and more isolated than putting her straight to the coop/garden
I really appreciate all of your kind words and advise x
Is the summer house predator proofed? I am worried about her too. Maybe you could make a house chicken out of her? I know so many people are doing that nowadays.
There is a thread "People with house chickens."
A house chicken she might like to be if being content being inside. I have a duck whose mate died from illness ago, I had him in garage for awhile so he wouldn't get lonely now he thinks he's a house duck he has other duck and chicken friends now but he'd much rather be inside ! If you do put her back out if the coop is moveable you could move it but please do make sure it is secure and predator proof
