Should the red lasers be purchased and put outside of my chicken coop to protect them from foxes and coyotes?

Hi there,

and welcome to BYC!

I have heard they do work well to scare away the critters of the night. We have a lot of coyotes and fox here. I use bright solar lights around the chicken coops and quail aviaries. The lights are so bright and numerous that this place is lit up like an airport runway!! I think you can see our place from space!!! LOL Just kidding. But lighting does help scare them off. Even a quietly playing radio seems to keep the varmints at bay as well.

I heard those lights work to scare them off. But as a precaution, I also place used clothing such as socks, shirts, etc at my fence to introduce the smell of human. It sort of helps keep the predators away.
