Frank Reese barred rooster

Aww thanks! We started out with other birds but looked for over 8 months to find these! So sad they won't breed! Still great pets!!! Hope to get more so all will be able to breed!

Pics if two if my trio. The other hopped out for more grass time!!!

If it is a question of a young cockerel put in with mature hens, it's not unusual for them to bully.

He may do better when older or if you could give him a trial pairing with just one hen - so he doesn't feel over whelmed by an angry mob. You know how fragile the male ego is

You may like to contact "Speckled Hen," she breeds barred rocks of exceptional quality and is known for her roosters that are not aggressive to hens or people. I believe she has a young cockerel now that is facing the same thing with her hens. I'm sure she has lots of ways to handle this. I will look up her newest thread and pm you the name.

I just discovered you can find Speckled Hen's new thread just by putting "The Evolution of Atlas." in the searchbox. This is the find young cockerel I wrote about.
