I have two of them. Plus plus the sides used to get condensation on them. Not anymore.ANy chance your hydrometer is off?

I imagine she has her hygrometers calibrated.ANy chance your hydrometer is off?
I’m not quite sure how I would calibrate a digital one or the little spring one I have.I imagine she has her hygrometers calibrated.
Actually that is not correct. Adding sponges will help. This is exactly how the GQF humidity tray works. It stays full of water the entire time and maintains a constant humidity. At lockdown you add a sponge into the humidity tray which draws the water up into the sponge. This increases the surface area of the water which will raise the humidity. They are all full of water. Adding sponges in the water wouldn't help.
Adding sponges to the wells below the grid won't help is what she meant. I can't stand them up under the grid.Actually that is not correct. Adding sponges will help. So basically you need more surface area of water to increase humidity. You could set a tupperware dish on the hatching shelf to increase humidity. Also you could stand a sponge up inside that dish to raise the humidity higher. Increasing the length and width of the dish will increase the humidity. Increasing the height of the dish will make the humidity last longer.
I gotcha. You can do the same thing above the grid if you have enough room. Add a water dish and sponge if needed.Adding sponges to the wells below the grid won't help is what she meant. I can't stand them up under the grid.
I might try this.I gotcha. You can do the same thing above the grid if you have enough room. Add a water dish and sponge if needed.
I think my first step is to see if the center hole is effecting how quickly it dries out. I'm considering taping some saran wrap over the controls to see if that holds humidity better. If it does, I'll look into sealing it from below the lid.
