Freakish Chick

your photos look just like mine re: the BO...and the last one of the BR roo, scares me because it looks like my BR that is supposed to be a GIRL!

The one photo of your BO on your hand is very very very similar to my 2.5 week old BO on my hand...sooo the 5 week pic gives me some idea of what to expect! LOL...

thanks for sharing your photos!!! Makes me feel better!!!

Hey there.

I thought for comparison, you might want to see my photos of my buff orpingtons. The size comparison will not count with Pip-Squeak, she is sick and smaller than the rest. But Charlotte is normal. My buff orpingtons feathered out faster and much fluffier than all the rest. They still seem to have more feathers than the rest or maybe the feathers are just fluffier. My daughter calls them fluffy butts.

Your buff looks beautiful! In fact it is making me worry that one of mine IS a roo. Hmmm... I sure hope not. Unfortunately, however, I am also concerned that your BR is a roo but I am no expert.

I know...whenever someone posts a 'myth' about sexing, one or the other of my two is a roo...so I'm thinking I may have a roo in the mix..hope not...we'll find out

Here is a picture of my two today (they are 4 weeks old today...happy birthday to them) LOL My buff is still a giant freakish chick IMHO...sooo sweet and loving (unless she's fighting for the meal worms!) LOL

That is one big chick. My buffs are 4 weeks old as well. Can't tell obviously if they are the same size as yours. Feather development looks about the same though...

Here is a pic of my daugher (she's 2 years old ~ today!) with the chicks for some sort of referrence on size...
