So I have 5 6 week old Chicks that are fully feathered and have been moved to their coop. Here in Kentucky the weather has went nuts and it is now 35 degrees outside, Would it be okay to add the heat lamp back for these crazy temps or do I need to let them adjust to the weather?

You don't need the heat lamp. Really!! Mine went out at 5 weeks, lows in 30's the first night and 20's two nights later. NO HEAT..... They did fine. Yours will too. They have down jackets! People across the entire USA are in this dilemma with their chicks. There are so many posts w the exact same question. Maybe this is the last cold spell....

I was worried about the same thing when I put my 5 week olds out (3 weeks ago now). They honestly did fine and were chirping and happy to see me when I went out in the morning! We ended up moving them to a barn stall to offer some more protection from the elements, but even last night with it going down into the low 30's they were totally fine this morning.
