You might also see if you have a local soda bottling plant. My sister picked up three of four barrels a few years ago at her Pepsi plant for $5 each.

Food grade barrels only! We have several that were used to ship tomatoes (of all things!) that we use to store feed in.

I would take them for something.I just saw a 55 gal post on craigs,but they wanted $30 per drum.I will just buy three 32 gallon garbage cans at $9 each!

I wouldn't recommend using them unless you need a burn barrel. But I wouldn't store food for my critters in anything that wasn't a food grade barrel. I've gotten some that had pickles and some that had olive oil.... smelled kinda good too!
