Hooray for you both healing up!

It's got to feel good to be able to get back to the normal routines. I don't want to belittle what you went through, but thank God it wasn't any worse. I'd loooooove to have a motorcycle myself, but the nature of motorcycle accidents gives me the heebeejeebees (sp???). I'm too scared of the 'other drivers' out there who just don't pay attention.

Our injuries were/are a "walk in the park" as opposed to what could have happened, to be sure! Skip always rides below the speed limit when I'm riding with him...that kept us from being hit by the car (don't even like thinkin' about that scenario).

We both went thru "I'll never ride again"...then got over it. We can't wait until we're able to ride again, crazy as it may sound!

By the way, I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous... oh wait, I guess that wouldn't work so well...

BYC was here for me when I decided to get back into chickens after a 20 year break, it's the least I can do!

I'm pretty sure that by using my left hand for all these weeks it's brought out an alter ego.

Skip says it's because "only left-handed people are in their right mind".

It's good to have my life back, to be sure!

It will make my day when I can comb and braid my own hair again!!!

I almost cut it all off after my short hospital stay, when I realized I couln't care for it myself. Thankfully, Skip talked me out of it.

Here's a pic of my alter ego, Lefty the one-armed chicken wrangler, in all her glory...the night before getting the cast off...
