Hi I have familey in Yreka, Ca. How far are they from you?
I would love to take them all If It is not to far forthem to travel.

Yreka is about 5-6 hours away... if I am correct about them being up on the coast by the border of Oregon.

They are in the center of the state off af I-5. So you are near Sacramento?

Have you tried posting to Craigslist? Chicks go really fast around here on Craigslist, and you can even sell them for a couple bucks each...
I'm just north of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County... I'd love to help out but I don't really have the time/money to pick up chicks right now

I really hate to try craigslist because you just never know where they will wind up or if they will wind up in the pot.

We had 7 total hatch.... three are Salmon Fav crosses or pures. They have the 5 toes, feathered legs and look like they have full cheeks. But with 10 roosters and only 3 SF hens, I can't imagine they are pure... but they sure look like it.

1 is a pure blue orp one is black with a white chest, probably a australorp cross and two are BLRW crosses. I will get pics later today and post them...

They are soooooooooooo cute! Oh I wish I could come get them. We have the room. California is further away then I should go to get chicks. I wonder what shipping would be? Does anyone know? Are you sure you don't want to come to Utah to go skiing, visit Temple Square, Hike around Zions or even to just deliver some chicks? LOL

As tempting as that sounds... Utah is a little far and I wont ship live birds....

I do on the other hand NEED to get rid of this sweeties ASAP... my landlord is coming tomorrow and he is already peeved that I have as many chickens as I do (80 and the lease says 30) but he put his foot down about no heat lamps in the house. But I just couldn't let this partially developed chicks die, it totally goes against everything I believe in!!

PLEASE someone in driving distance want these babies by the morning!!
