Free Parakeets near Houston

I am thinking this little guy is male. I could be wrong but when I zoom in, it looks to be a solid light purple cere (fleshy nose). Baby male budgies usually have a solid cere while baby females have a whitish one with faint circles around the nostrils.

This picture demonstrates that.

Of course I could be wrong, some front face picture of the bird will help tremendously

Parakeets are a flock species so happiest if they are not alone. They don't generally fight or pick at each other. They are happy in groups. Go to a pet store and observe. If you get any, don't confine them to a small cage. They are birds. They need to fly. They need toys for mental stimulation as well. A bird alone should at least have a mirror.

Thank you.

I've had the perfect cage for these type of birds for a while now and I've been thinking about getting one or two.
From my understanding I think two would be better. I just wasn't sure if I accidentally got two males if they would kill each other.

Parrot are not like quails, males do fine together. I had two budgie males together and they got along great. Sadly, one broke his leg and died. My other budgie now lives with my cockatiels, princess parrots and bourke's parrot in an outdoor aviary who are all larger than him, though the budgie is the boss.

Parrots need constant attention. If you can't spend constant time with them, you'd be best to get two.

Are you wanting to sell, give away, what? One, two, all at once? Who pays for shipping?
They are to give away. We are not raisers of parakeets, my friend just gave strays a good home. He didn't realize they would procreate and more than once a year. Can you ship them? So tiny and so cold out. But whoever wants them would pay shipping. I suspect that would be more than just buying some.
