This is a really cool thread & an awesome thing you're doing. I'll be following along, tho I'm too far away to do any of the local stuff going on in AZ! I've been trying to collect more threads and interesting anecdata on plants as well, since I'm starting to experiment with them. I hope to be successful enough to have things to share in turn, but I expect that will be a while. :P

I will say congrats on the dehydrator upgrade while I peruse the backlog of your thread and see what I can learn!

Awe, so glad you're here. It is so fun and maybe there is a location near you...or coming soon.

Propagation Station is now here at the "city farm" homestead headquarters in Mesa.
To find all the locations visit the website Gardenexchangestands.org
There is a blog on how to navigate on the map, planting guides for each month and a list of fun items to share if you don't have plants or seeds.
Only visit during daylight hours.
If you do visit and pot up a cutting or plant, please post so I can keep the soil (homegrown compost) full.
Thank you to Kat Karpinen for donating this for the community 🙏
The Seed Libraries and Garden Stands are shared spaces and a community service for all. We're creating a larger food sovereignty network together with these locations.
🙋‍♂️ Know that by sharing seeds, plants, & cuttings is a time-honored way of connecting one garden to another. Volunteer 🙋‍♀️ Happy planting, gardening friends!

Do these look scary to you?
😨 If not than try one..
1st, tehe.
A gardening friend shared these plants with us and for our house 🏡 "city farm" homestead headquarters
1438 North 66th Place
Mesa, Arizona U.S.A.
✅️ However, I get a message that some of the plant's are mislabeled.
🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ Oh boy, that's fun right!
Idk, but I will have to find someone to try them 1st or maybe do a dare??

Repair Cafe Chandler! & Free Seed Table
We will have the Free Seed basket during their event. Stop on by and see what a Seed Shepherd does. Make origami seed packets, package up seed for future Free Seed Tables and Stands or drop off any extra seeds you might have for sharing.

We invite you to come on Saturday, January 17 th to help us make a difference in this community or bring something that needs to be fixed. Whatever your skillset, whatever your level of interest or expertise, we need you!
Their free fixit events are held at Chandler First Church of the Nazarene, Hartford St., Chandler, AZ 85225. The event is in the gym, which is located on the north side of the campus, off of Flint Street.
The public time for the event is 9:00 am - NOON.
If you have a skill to help out with the most asked question we receive from potential volunteers is: Do you need my help? The answer is a resounding YES. We have a few "regulars" who volunteer almost every time, and we love to engage new volunteers with the steady stream of items in need of repair. We ask that the volunteers come 15-30 minutes early to get set up and ready to go.
Thanks for joining the Repair Cafe movement!
Let's fix stuff together,
Melissa Anderson
