Host is thankful to the Desert Botanical Garden and HonorHealth hospital for the lovely Orchids.

The host of the Orchid Lily Garden,
@Lily Ly in Scottsdale, Arizona U.S.A. left some out today at her location.
They are white, pink and red flowers
The Seed Libraries (when weather permits) and Stands are shared spaces and a community service for all. We're creating a larger food sovereignty network together with these locations and we hope to spark a love of plants.

🌻 Here are a few hints on how to tell the difference from a Jerusalem artichoke and a wild sunflower.
🌻 Jerusalem artichokes have a yellow center and there will be no seeds.
🌻 Sunflowers have a darker center, where teeny, tiny seeds are.
🌻 While the seeds look very similar, a wild sunflower will not produce an edible tubers.

✨️ We have a lovely seed blog that includes:
⚠️Partial POISONOUS/TOXIC pet plant list
🐈 🐕 Partial pet friendly plant list.
🌿 Vegetables
🌿 Herbs with some exotics 🌿
🌸 And flowers
We still stick by zone 9 here at the "city farm" homestead headquarters
North 66th Place
Mesa, Arizona U.S.A.
Zone 9 a or b means temperatures will vary due to elevation or valleys on our terra firma, which can mean a difference of a week or 2 planting times. Zone 8 is a month behind us and so on.

(by the end of today all the planting guides will be uploaded/updated on the website/social media)
Disclaimers are on there as well.

Here at the "city farm" homestead headquarters in Mesa, it is not 124' degrees.
We need a new weather station. Done at 12:34 pm. Like right now, well a bit after..
A sweet reminder:
Seeds should never be left outside ✨️ The are a living thing.

One pollinator plant that is on the top of our list is the brittle bush (Encelia farinosa).
🙋‍♂️ We are packaging up envelopes for the Stands and Free Seed Tables for the festivals/events in 2025.

🌞 There are so many uses for this bush and it takes little to no fuss or water to grow.

This plant supports 🐝, 🐦, moths, hummingbirds, and, 🦋. The painted lady butterfy loves the sweet aroma, syrup like resin.
As always never use pesticides.
Check out this Fridays event,

♻️ Part of our mission is sustainable living. Our locations have received all the pill bottles that we can handle at this time at all locations. We are asking for those of you who have extras to look into sharing with other sources. Here are a few and while they may not be in your area look up place that can reuse them.

One fun find some of you might have found here at the
"city farm" homestead headquarters
North 66th Place
Mesa, Arizona U.S.A
Are these cosmic looking succulents. The larger cream colored shaped cone is a stapelila about to bloom.
