Fall Garden Fair w/ Tucson Organic Gardeners, free admission.
We will have our Free Seed Table at this event. If you have any seeds to share, please bring them. As always, come prepared with envelopes, and a sharpie to take home any bulk seeds. We look forward to seeing old and new gardening friends at this event.
They will have;
Locally grown plants & seeds -vegetables/herbs/flowers/native plants
Organic compost, fertilizers & garden supplies
Gardening & composting advice

A new favorite now that we have fresh milled mesquite from the Milling With Mollen & a Free Seed Basket event.
This recipe originated from Peggy Sue Sorensen with the Desert Kitchen.
Her mesquite truffles
calls for any kind of nut butter.
Today's recipe is:
Cashews, hazel nuts, pumpkin seeds, Brazil nuts, almonds, flax, and chia seeds with a small dollop of creamed honey.
1 heaping tablespoon of nut butter, 1/4 teaspoon (about) of
honey, and 2 teaspoons of fresh milled mesquite. Mix well, roll into balls and dust with mesquite flour. #enjoy #gardening #friends

It's hot out this week, so when you see (T), that means transplants. Even though you can plant, it doesn't mean in direct sun. In these temps, most everything newly planted needs shade. Since we have lots of tree seeds, we are updating our planting guides this summer, so stay tuned. For the best updates, check the website, not the banners on here or in our groups.


9 a or b means a temperature change due to elevation.
A or B is a difference between a 2 week time period, so pay attention to those lows and highs for the best planting.
Seeds are not out at this time, it's too hot out.

We love our gardening friends who share their harvest!
Tomatoes are in season this time of year here in the Sonoran desert.
They are heavy feeders so give them a natural organic fertilizer about every 10 days.


The Seed Libraries and Garden Stands are shared spaces and a community service for all. We're creating a larger food sovereignty network together with these locations.

FREE SEED BASKET during Repair Cafe Chandler
We will have the Free Seed basket during their event. Stop on by and see how to make origami seed packets, package up seed for future Free Seed Tables and Stands or drop off any extra seeds you might have for sharing.
We invite you to come on Saturday, July 19, 2025 to help us make a difference in this community or bring something that needs to be fixed. Whatever your skillset, whatever your level of interest or expertise, we need you!
Their free fixit events are held at Chandler First Church of the Nazarene, N. Hartford St., Chandler, AZ 85225. The event is in the gym, which is located on the north side of the campus, off of Flint Street. Event is 9:00 am - NOON.
If you have a skill to help out with the most asked question we receive from potential volunteers is: Do you need my help? The answer is a resounding YES. We have a few "regulars" who volunteer almost every time, and we love to engage new volunteers with the steady stream of items in need of repair. We ask that the volunteers come 15-30 minutes early to get set up and ready to go.
