We have a coyote prob along with coons and posumms. My dad shot a pommsum in the spring. He had also shot a rabid ground hog that chased me all over the goat pasture! It scared me so bad! I though it was going to get me! It was very weird to! But my ducks run free right now, when these ducks im getting tommarow are 6 weeks old I will have a proper fence and shelters, I dont want to take any more chances. The only thing I have ever lost a bird to is my dog. Which is sad
I have four chickens and two ducks that free range during the day, they are securely locked up at night. If I leave during the day I lock them back up, when I'm home my dog keeps a pretty close eye on his girls! I'm getting ready to build a run for them though, I'm getting tired of washing poop off my walkway
. I thought with 2.5 acres to roam they would stay away from the house! Thats what you get for raising them since birth, they love to be near their people!
