Free ranging and going outside now?

So my ducks are 4 weeks old as of Monday and when is the right age to let the outside with my drake they have already met and nothing happened so what’s a good age to let them live out there they go out now for about an hour a day when can we leave them longer unsupervised also when they go out they are currently supervised. When can they start to spend the nights out side and when can they start free ranging?

How many ducks? How old is your Drake? I wouldn't leave them unsupervised until they are all the same physical size. Please post pics.

They are four weeks and my drake is 6 months he recently lost his mate

Now I have 3 2 females and 1 male

Sorry for your loss. No they are to young yet to be left unsupervised with your Drake. It's good they can get along together. No guarantee the Drake won't hurt them because of their size indifference.

Ok what’s a good age and can I start to leave them unsupervised outside by themselves for the day then take them in at night they would be in a fenced coop with shelter Food and water and would get to see the drake and chickens through the fence but wouldn’t get the be with them

Ducks grow at different rates, You have two 4 week old female BABIES not adult hens you want to introduce to your mature 6 month old Drake. You need to wait until they are the same size to make sure the drake won't hurt them.

Ok thanks but can they stay in a fenced area the drake won’t be able to get too inside a coop without supervision
