Hello everyone, I wanted to get opinions about free ranging my ducks. I have two ducks that are about two months old. I recently built them a duck coop. However, I feel bad leaving them there all day. So I have been letting them roam around the whole backyard and only putting them away at night. Is it save for me to be doing that? I live in Phoenix,Arizona. The only predators that would be around my neighborhood would be cats. Would I need to trim their wings eventually? One is a Pekín and the other a blue Swedish? Please give me your opinion ☺

Hi there !

Firstly - nice coop !

Its good that you know cats are an issue - I would always assume in an urban setting that dogs might be a risk too.

Essentially though, if you can dog / cat proof the yard, I am sure they would appreciate getting out - they might also like a little paddling pool (just sayin') :D
