Thank you, lots to consider and I hope I make the right choices. I love these birds so much. Just want what's best for them. I was hoping that I had a rooster in the mix, but it doesn't look like it.

You have eight chickens and one is a rooster, I have the opposite where we got 10 chickens and seven of them are roosters. You just never know what you’re going to get.

I THINK out off 14 Pullets, I MAY have one Rooster. No idea what breed he is but his tail fathers stand more at an angle, straight up, than the others. I'm picking up a free Rooster in town on Monday. Out here, Need as much as I can get to watch for predators. Hound Dog has discouraged a Fox, for now..
