Free docile wonderful Dominique Cockeral, must go to a good home, I live in North TX. Rooster is 3 1/2 months old, husband says he has got to go!! Someone please save my baby.

I hope you find someone to take him, he sounds like a good boy. would pick him up if I were closer. Are you having a problem with too many roo's or a roo too high on the pecking order w/hens?

No I got rid of one roo, but in my little town I dont want to rock the boat too much and get in trouble for having him. So far the neighbors have been understanding but he is starting to sing a little more everyday .

I wish you were closer as well

It is just if I don't find someone to adopt him, my husband will give him to my neighbor and they will kill him and eat him.... he has made it perfectly clear he has no problem of eating him.

If you're really attached to him, you might want to consider having him caponized (ie. neutered) Not sure where you'd look for a vet to do that though.

I wonder if that would stop him from crowing? That is what is bothering him.

It usually does, though given his age it's possible it won't. It's kinda like when you neuter a full grown male cat. It usually stops them from spraying, but for a few, it doesn't.
