Oh i never ended up having a vehicle for a piano brooder lol. And i agree it would be too small and tricky. I ended up gettong a 45 gallon Christmas tote on discount for like 10$ thats perfect.
Good for you. I was just imagining all the time spent on Craigs List, buying the piano, finding six strong guys (or paying $500 to have it professionally moved like I did), trying to gut the thing, possibly tearing out the whole front to get at the harp, hiring someone with a crane to lift that heavy metal piece to get it out, and then putting the shell back together again.
That would still leave a lot of wasted space. Maybe the lower half could house some chick supplies, but awkward access. Maybe the top half could be extended out to the keyboard edge to give them more play space, like an open cage.
Oh, it can be done, but the expense involved is not worth it for a brooder. Go the plywood route or some used furniture. Use your imagination and see what you can find in the thrift stores and see what can be re-purposed.
