Free Trees At Lowe's - (Any Updates? How are your trees growing?)

Mine are still alive..but still sooo small..
Will they be able to make the winter up here??

Should i bring htem in my basement?(it still gets freezing in there too though)
But if i have them downstairs, they wont get any sunlight....
What do i do??

I have a mud room that is all windows.... soo... maybe i will just bring them inside this year and line them all up in front of the windows. Because i doubt they will live being buried under all the snow we'll be getting.

That sounds like that would work. Let's compare again in the winter and see how things are going. Take pics of the progress if you can and post pics. I"ll try to get pics of mine as well.

I'll send you pics of mine on fire after I huck it into the fireplace.

I can show you picks of the dirt it was in, and the pile of wood its under.

the ones that grow in my yard don't come in i have one that is like 2 months old in the wild they don't come inside

Nope, soil insulates the roots. Actually, if evergreens like temperate pines aren't exposed to a period of cold for hibernation, they will die. They can't live in a warm climate with no cool off. This is why 'bonsai' sold in stores, usually a little fir twig in a tiny pot, die very quickly, because they are almost exclusively kept indoors by the owners.
