French Black Copper Marans Hatching Eggs for Sale

Ready to ship tomorrow (Tuesday - Feb. 8th) - One dozen, plus a couple of extras, French Black Copper hatching eggs. These are from the same birds whose eggs won both the Ohio National and Wisconsin National APA Marans egg shows. I have my FBCMs divided into two groups right now. What I call the "Best" and "The Rest". These are from The Rest, who actually lay the darkest eggs. The Rest include about 3 dozen birds. There may be a roo with too much red in breast and females with too much copper in hackles; along with roos and hens who have too little color; an occasional brown vent fluff; or white wing feather; or dark eyes. In other words, they didn't make the cut into my "Best" pen which are all birds who are APA conforming and have no "faults". I sell my "Best" bird's eggs at $70 per dozen off my website (and $60 on BYC) and am offering "The Rest" at half price. Paypal is [email protected]. The dozen eggs pictured can go out tomorrow (Tues. or Wed.) I should have another dozen for shipping early the next week. I have waiting lists for my Best eggs and waiting lists for my Olive Eggs but no waiting list for my regular dark layers.

Hi Ruth,

I'm on your waiting list for eggs from your 'best" group, but I don't mind having these instead if you have a long list and would rather sell these to me instead. I was deciding between breeding Marans and having Dorkings on the side, or vise versa, and I've pretty much decided on breeding the Dorkings instead. Which means I just want the Marans for the dark eggs and not the next generation of chickens.

Soooo, I'll leave it up to you whether you sell me these or the others.

Oh, that's not long to wait... in fact it is perfect, as my most reliable incubator is getting filled in the next day or 2, and then by the time I get your eggs the others will be ready for lockdown in the new hatcher (that just came in the mail today!)

Your eggs and birds are so beautiful that they get my best incubator!

Yours were the prettiest BC Marans I found anywhere!

I'll just stay with my original order. (I've ordered too many eggs this year already!)

I forgot to mention that my pure Blue Copper Marans roo is also in my "Rest" pen so there's always a possibility you could get a "Blue Copper". Here's his picture when he was just a baby. The other roos were kicking his butt (notice the missing point on his comb). He's such a big ninny baby even now that I can't let him roam with the big roos so he's in my pure BCM "Rest" pen. I'm hoping to get some blue coppers myself:
