French breed ID?

I hatched this chick around 2 weeks ago. All I know its a French breed. Here's a Pic from today. And this is a Pic of what an adult pair would look like I think.

I think that's a maran.

I thought saw too. But the eggs are quite light.

I have read that, depending on the bird, they can also lay very light colored eggs. I don't know if this is true, but that's what I heard.

Not Marans, earlobe color is wrong. It's not a breed I recognize right off.
