Still require the same vet inspections of the parent stock. Of course I have HEARD that some times people bring eggs across the Canada/ US border as groceries.

Its not fair. I have a longing for those golden laced Orps and not one that I know of has been developed here and I see the everywhere in Europe.

there is a lady on the other byc board who has posted about importing marans eggs from the UK (I don't think she has imported from france). you could probably do a search over there and find her posts. I know she has mentioned spending hundreds of dollars for a very few birds because the hatch rate has been horrible.
