I partitioned a section of frankenbator off and had 100% hatch rate on 4 eggs. I think I have 8 or so on the ground. I had a few with leg issues that did not make it over the last few weeks. I'm already looking forward to spring.

Gut feeling? These birds are nice. They have good type and seem to be having good color come in. I'm guessing the color of the egg will drop my jaw, but that's based off of what the lady had. My gut feeling is that I will have some of the best BCM in my state. But that was also one cockerel out of 8.

Thanks, that's good to know. I know that Bev recommended her, and I know Parks is kind of her "western distributor", so I was hoping your birds turned out good. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay per chick?

Ten dolla! And I had to wait three months to get them. Waiting list.

I was going to say, not sure how much competition there is in the state, but I know a few people who have marans. I'm sure yours are some of the nicest. And your wyandottes.

Nice! Glad you are getting some to hatch. I guess I'm waiting for a fewwwww more weeks... Ugh.

Well Cuteness is perfectly fitting! Too adorable.

I just went out to fill the chicks water and little Napoleon attacked my boot! Its bigger than he is!
