I'm not a friend either - I must hang out with the wrong crowd.

Hey I like your new avatar. The other always made me a little sad.

That badge came out of the serious blue, lol... might have been the duck thread, I dunno...

Thanks... but the previous one really does fit... :/

I know, It made me just want to hug you all the time and I know you are tougher than that. You can always go back whenever you feel like it. Pretty cool someone nominated you - you really deserve it!

I was thinking about changing to this one, but knowing how coyotes are thought of on BYC, I thought maybe not.

When it comes to those 2, there ain't nothin tough about me...

Anyways, thank you... I just try to help when I can...

I love that pic! We have a pack of coyotes that run their territory all around us, but never come out on our hill, luckily... think it's too open for them and our good neighbors have a BIG dog that loves our birds, lol...

I hauled all our skis, boots, and poles to the Salvation Army a couple of months ago. If for some reason I'm stupid enough to try it again, I'll rent equipment.

Sorry about the wry neck but don't give up on it, I've seen them straighten out. I'd have a wrenched neck if I spent three weeks in a capsule too.

We went and picked up our "new" tractor this afternoon. It's solid for a 15 year old tractor. The hydrostatic transmission is going to take some getting used to, we've always had static throttle controls and manual transaxle. I need to make a few adjustments, like plow height, and check the front wheel bearings and spindles as the tires are wearing unevenly.

I miss the snow so much. It looks like we may get some flurries tomorrow....so excited for that!!!! ;)

I am not sure if I asked you already but what is your preferred method of dispatching roosters/meaties??

It depends on age and weight, but I prefer to slit the jugular from INSIDE the mouth.

Try method 1 first. I use method 2 followed by method 4 within seconds. I don't have to scald the birds to pluck them if they are fully feathered. If processing a large turkey, I use method #1 with a razor sharp knife and don't hold the bird, just swipe across the neck on both sides of the jaw.
