Phil, I'm sure you already know this. Downsize your hooks and your bait. Or, double drop, larger bait top smaller bait on bottom same size hooks. You might be able to snag one with the lower hook.

Snowing at two inches a hour!
Sitting in my ice shack...not catching fish.
But they are biting. Not getting hooks in they keep dropping the bait.

I find that if you put a tiny amount of bait of the very tip of the hook it catches their lip almost every time (Unless its a bluegill

Nice. I just meant the bluegill almost always steal the bait and don't get hooked
