I like elms. They have a lot of history. I'm going to propagate it.

It won't need any help propagating... seriously, it is the world's largest weed... the root system is severely invasive and destructive... they atract the nastiest bugs that you can't get rid of and the seeds will be everywhere...

I hate the Elms around here - I'm pilling up seedlings all summer long from the seeds that blow from the neighbor's onto our property.  (And I'm a tree-hugger!)

Ours are the alders, big leaf maple, and choke cherry. Dang things are only good for fire wood and the suckered off if you don't get the root ball.

K, now I'll just tell my dad that I'm going to use to make a bow   (Which might actually happen.) How do you use it as fodder? Sprout the seeds?

Cedar is our problem here, and locus. We have elm but that disease has taken care if most of them.
