They're doing good, getting big, they grow so fast! I don't have any recent pics, I'll take some tomorrow and post them. I lost 2 to the cold weather (had a heat lamp in their coop but it got down to 18° several nights in a row and the light didn't do enough for them) but the other 5 are doing great! I have 2 cockrels and 3 pullets. I think... 1 is questionable.
Yes, the cold has been terrible. And the wind makes it SOOOO much worse. I lost 2 of my Nankin hens to it too. Thank goodness it has warmed up a bit. I will definitely take some pics tomorrow and post them. The 2 cockrels have pretty big crests and the pullets have smaller ones but they're all crested.The cold has been awful... so sorry...

Lol, this is the first time I've been here in a couple months. I've missed you guys so much but with all tye cold and snow we've had I've been busy with all the chickens. I'm finally getting eggs from the 5 welsummer hens I bought a couple months back. I'm trying to hatch a few of those now, they'll be mixed with Ameraucana though. The hens are in with my Ameraucana roo that a neighbor gave me. I'm getting 2 eggs most days so far. I think some of them are laying while they're out free ranging though.That's awesome! I LOVE Cochins!
