I don't even sell chicks that hatch by accident for $3. If people want $3 chicks, let them go to TS. My cheapest are the silkies, because they multiply like rabbits, and I have sold them as low as $5, but average is $7. EEs and cuckoo marans go for $6 each, I'm charging $8 for the AMs, but the waiting list grew so fast that I may bump up to $10.
If I keep them long enough to sex, any pullet will sell for at least $12, usually $15, and if I ever keep AMs that long they will be $25
