I am sorry. I do not know what I would do, without my mom, I know someday I will face it. DH lost his, right before we met, still sad, probably always will be.

Morning all!
I dropped my phone in the water last night   I am on the laptop here for the first time.
These new phones do not have a battery you can take out quickly, and I could not get the d*** thing to turn off.  I stuck it in to a bag of rice and went to bed, it seems to be working right now, mostly.  I am charging it and then I will spend the day getting all the pictures off of it.  Hoping   it will start working again and I will not have to buy a new one.

I already have orders for the next hatch. This is a fertility test hatch. I was going to keep a few. What do you all charge for chicks? I sold this lot for $3 each as they are mostly mixes.

I don't even sell chicks that hatch by accident for $3. If people want $3 chicks, let them go to TS. My cheapest are the silkies, because they multiply like rabbits, and I have sold them as low as $5, but average is $7. EEs and cuckoo marans go for $6 each, I'm charging $8 for the AMs, but the waiting list grew so fast that I may bump up to $10.
If I keep them long enough to sex, any pullet will sell for at least $12, usually $15, and if I ever keep AMs that long they will be $25

Still mixes or pures? $3 even for mixes is a bit on the light side... yours are worth more than feed store chicks...

Take my review with a grain of salt because we were virgins. I'm at a 50% hatch rate with shipped eggs. So far we had the one sticky chick death but I've got four more still in labor and delivery. My wife has made a joke out me having about as many thermometers and hygrometers as we did eggs to check disparities in the different parts of the bator. The room is perfect with no traffic, no drafts, and constant controlled air temps. Plus, the biggest factor is my wife works at home and maintained constant care.

You did great. 50% of shipped in Styrofoam is really good. I'd let it run for another day or so, you may get a few more.

Rotating the eggs throughout the incubator. That's one thing I didn't do and @scflock told me the same thing

Like I said last night, and BYC910 said, sticky chicks, one drowning chick, and a drawn out hatch all point to high humidity. What did you run at for the first 18 days?

my galaxy 5 has taken water on a few times and keeps working. But they made it to do so. The Galaxy 6 they didn't make as stout...
