Major differences in egg sizes from my KC's this morning......the tiny egg is from one of my youngsters.
Rav I know you feed "all flock" I switched to"Layena with/oyster shell"
And my duck eggs changed from tan to white and got bigger. .....just an observation.....Phil

They go through a major size jump as they fully mature... and the tan will get lighter when they get bigger cuz that's from the 'bloom' and it has to cover more surface area now...

Layena is good, and good to use if they won't self regulate calcium intake... my Calls are amazing about that, I noticed... Lady Grey would seek out the bag of oyster shell after she started laying, but since she started molting she hasn't touched it... now she is going for high protein sources, like the cat food, lol...

And everyone has seen my silkies. I'm not one to be giving advice :P

I love my pet Silkie rooster but my hardcore wife doesn't want me to let him near her little Dora and Daisy show stock Silkies. My little
Silkie roo will whoop buttocks. He's like me. Really cute but mean as the devil. Anyways we (she) bought us a pretty little show stock Silkie cockerel who is now betrothed to the double d's . I want criticism of our(her) breeding stock.

And yes a knew that....my ducks just didn't seem to want the oyster....so I thought I'd try the new feed. The small duck egg is white too...anyway if it works out I'll stick to the "Layena".
Thanks for your input.....

I wanna send you some eggs to slip under those hootchie mamas... then just tell Mrs. Flock white is recessive and you never know what could pop out... :gig

Just post some pics... you'll get honest feedback here... I've improved mine quite a bit in the last year, they're crested, bearded and throw some vaulted skulls... Ruby has some super nice stock too... :)

Good idea... I just usually have so many varied ages that it's better for me... plus the different species, lol... I do have one pen that I have to feed layer feed to, my Sulmtalers are super picky about eating anything except the feed... :/
