I never saw a Cuckoo Marans that laid really dark eggs.

Mine grow slow. I can't even sex them until they crow, and then I'm only 75% accurate

No they don't, but they are great layers with huge eggs. I just make sure that anyone buying them doesn't expect "chocolate" eggs

Well maybe the BCM mix will lay dark eggs. (If that fails I might be able to get some BCM eggs from some friends of ours)
