French frogs

Just took the grandkids next door to feed the Sandhill cranes. The neighbor throws out corn every night and they come into the yard right outside their living room window. Many have left to fly north, but there was about 30 in the yard tonight. Kids loved it.

whole lot a of shaking goin. on .bout to cook dinner cheese buger and fries maybe baked beans . still unwinding from the sale with Ravyn keep thinking bout them little ducks .and how cute they are .it was a little river of ducks . did you catch a fish?

Weather was great bright sunny day . warm . and you can forget it NO ducks

to much mess and its not fun cutting them out of the ice . I got boxes of tee shirts. but Ravyn's ducks were not that messy

Sandhills taste way better than chicken.

If you fatten them on corn they rival prime cuts of beef.

Had a fun day, had our first hands on experience with bees.

Then when we got home I went out to collect eggs and for the 2nd day in a row I had to turf out the weird rumpless cockerel out of the nest. He was sitting on 4 eggs. He really is a weirdo. Then I went to visit the meaties. They have quadrupled in size since we got them.

Then I did my rounds checking the coops to make sure there are no weak points and I spotted some animal foot prints. So I went to find Jay and he says they are raccoon prints a mother and babies, and we found some wild hog prints too. So we are going to have to do some night patrols. Hope every one is having an absolutely marvelous weekend.

WV wish you had been with us Rav bought bigger than she could haul again . course I told her to . I went to her place. got to see all the little ducks . I don't do ducks but they are so cute and so bonded to her . there were like fifty of them following her around . all of them taking to her . it was so cool . glad DH is feeling better . only got in a little trouble for it. I sure have the nack for making women mad only one better is SC 

Ummm... btw... that WAS 50 of them...

9 were in the pen...
