Man isn't that the truth? And their such babies still they fly around like little batts! Swoop! I remember mine flying around like crazy too! When my DH was finishing up the coop he used an electric drill and made all kinds of noise. It didn't seem to bother them much. Several even wouldn't move while he was drilling! I couldn't believe it and neither could he! But they were used to the vacuum from inside so maybe that was why.

This batch has unfortunately been ignored all of their lives, living in our back room. Now that work has calmed down, I'm going to work on hand-feeding them treats so they don't think people are giant scary monsters.

True...BUT. Your winter is a good bit longer than mine. Our lake water temps in summer are probably the same as your air temps. I'd like to move in with you one winter just to see how it goes.

Im guessing the drinkin got real bad approx 7 years ago...

True...BUT. Your winter is a good bit longer than mine. Our lake water temps in summer are probably the same as your air temps. I'd like to move in with you one winter just to see how it goes.

Bundle up...I will tell you...when I'm south even southern Michigan...the lake water seems mucky...yucky. Our lakes the water is cleaner because we don't get any algea growth. When our temps get inn the 90's. That cool lake water is great. I still think it's what your used to. Our summers are great...dang near perfect.
