French frogs

DH nearly lost his leg to a log splitter about 15 years ago. He stalled a Kohler 8 hp cast iron engine with his shin bone between the wedge and ram. He had muscle damage from the compression, and still has a dent in the shin bone from the wedge, but it could have been a LOT worse.

Night, all!

Ravyn, USPS says they are about 40 miles from me!

Perfect birthday then!

Here are the first 2. The 3rd has hatched, another black. It was a little premature, belly still swollen but looks like its doing ok.
26th and final quail hatched, and I have them all sold. Lost the little pocket baby though. The other 5 never pipped.
Still 2 more silkie pips left, and 3 not looking likely, but still possible.

Geez, they are adorably sweet!

Morning frawgs!

Dont forget to change the clocks, if you live somewhere that does it.

Ross asked about pocket chick. Had splay leg, I finally taped them together. Then went to clean the bigger brooder for the chicks. Look back in the quail brooder and its laying there dead. It kept flipping on its back, and I kept turning it over, but I guess while I was busy, I missed it. It was right under the light too, and I guess just gave up. I had it in a cup alone for a while with a little water. Was hopeful, so I let it out.
So splay leg and failure to thrive, I guess. The others are maniacs!

3 silkie/cochin out. 1 blue, 2 black. 4 working, 2 of those malpositioned.

Oh I forgot, the first hatcher, the blue, was that last egg laid the morning I set, put in around 12 hours behind the rest. Interesting huh.

They really are adorable. 2 more just hatched! Looks like more blues.

When will your ducklings arrive?

That's the problem, WV! They're stinkin adorable!

Ducklings arrive on 3/30 or 3/31. They hatch on 3/28. I'm a bit excited.
