That's adorable, Deb!!!![]()
Ever try putting them up early?
Just don't put your other phumb near that bill!!!Yes, and no...
They are all about schedules, so if you teach them early it works better... and don't change their schedule... mine free range on the yard and will go into the pen on their own most evenings... but they'd rather party in a pool all night long than go inside a duck house... and don't change their schedule... stragglers for the most part can be herded in or bribed with treats... but you'll always get 'those ones'... and don't change their schedule...

Yes, yes! You'll love duckies! I'm told they're easier than chickens & have more personality. They don't need to be routinely wormed and I believe they are a bit hardier.
I'm already skeered of Phe Phantom Phumb!!
What's a good beginner duck breed? I want smaller ducks.
Ravyn's Calls are adorable, but I also like the looks of Indian Runners.
Of course I don't have ducks, will probably never get ducks, I'm only speaking of what pictures I like on the internet. Not very helpful!![]()
Well, after lots of research, I started in April of last year with 2 Pekins & 2 Rouens. They aren't considered "smaller" ducks, though, but I wasn't concerned with size. Pekins are full of personality. The Rouens are quieter, but a bit less friendly.
