I've been better, just need to get out of my own head for a while. Been seriously overthinking everything-it sucks, but I'll survive.

Aw, Friday, sorry. It's often tough to turn off the brain. I can relate. Hope it gets better for you real soon!
I don't really go by age, lol... once they fully feather underneath I put them out in the yard during the day fenced in their own space in the yard... after a couple days or so, once everyone ignores them I let fhem loose and keep an eye on them... so far, I've never had to separate them again... but they go up at night by themselves until fully feathered out...

Thanks, am ok... was a tooth issue that went bad...

Cool. I can do that. Just took the lings outside for their first time since they got here. It's a nice, warm day. Kept them in a laundry basket and let them take turns walking a bit. This was all inside the duck run. LOL...my drake paced back & forth, back & forth. Wouldn't let the girls anywhere near the babies. He wasn't at all aggressive, just curious.

That's perfect... keep letting them see and especially hear each other until they get used to them... drakes are where I have heard issues, but mine always ignored the kids... there was more bickering between the ducks and littles than anything, but mostly it's a bit of goosing here and there, lol...

Do you let them out into the yard at all? Just curious... intros might be easier during yard time since it's neutral ground...

Yes, we go for "walks"...lol...they love time in the yard since it's new ground. So next time I take the lings out, I'll have Mark out there with the ducks on a walk and we'll just go to where they're hanging out.

Thanks Ravyn, thanks Deb.

Deb - Can't wait to hear how your phone interview goes tomorrow! Hoping this is the right job for you!!

Anytime... and an ear is always here too, my friend... :)

X2 to Deb!!

Good plan... I've just never even tried to integrate within the runs... heard way too many horror stories about severe aggression issues... makes sense since that is 'their' safe area...

Spice update...

Ya'll ready for this???

It's been 13 days since the haybale incident... am still tubing fluids but I think that's cuz she hates the taste of the vites I load it with... but 2 days ago she started refusing the food tubing... she is now dabbling the food slurry herself... sitting up on her own, talks, and is holding her head up for the most part... still has some head control issues and bouts of it getting betond her ability to turn back around, but she is steadily improving... I think her hearing is most likely gone and sight may be as well, but she is starting to adapt and is still getting stronger...

Get it taken care of yet?...please do...I'd hate to see you let it go too long. Those things can get dangerous.
Awww... :hugs

Seriously, I do the same... it really does suck... and part of why my sleeping habits are awful... hang in there... take some down time and just flock around for a bit... hard to do, but it helps...

Agreed....
