Yes, the FI. Its my fault. When I came home to lock them down, I was only home for a few hours and I made the mistake of fiddling with the stupid knob.

But I have good and bad news, it seems the lavenders are fine, looks like all 3 internal pips and plenty of movement. All 4 comet eggs appear to be gone, but I left them anyway. Alot of clear area and they aren't drawn down, no movement detected. I'm pretty sure they are goners, but will check them again tomorrow.

And one more bit of sad news... I lost a week-old golden sebright this evening. I'm calling it failure to thrive. It was really small, and had bad pasty butt. I kept cleaning it, but it just never improved, and gave up the fight tonight.

Glad those LO seem to be on track, even though the comets may have fizzled. Really sorry about the sebright, it does sound like it was born with something wrong. That part of raising chicks is never easy.

Lady Grey and Crash are up to *at least* 8 babies hatched so far... that's as many as I could confirm counting without losing digits...

I'm pretty sure it was the last one to hatch, and I thought it was going to have splay leg early on, but it started doing better after the second day. Her wing feathers were even starting to grow. I'll post some pics of her tomorrow. About to head to bed, back to work tomorrow. Yuck.

But thanks. I held her for her last breaths, so she didn't die too horribly.
