Hi Friday! When are you hatching more Russians?

Maybe in the fall, or not until next spring. We've got vacations coming up and need to have the chickens fairly self-sufficient for a while. The teens are integrated with the old ladies, just need to get the littles mixed into the bunch. Have to wait a few more weeks until they can't fit through the 2x4 holes in the wire fence.

I hope it feels better than you think it will....

I boiled several dozen eggs last night, to feed back to the birds, and to keep myself from setting more. (ok, so I saved Katherine's eggs to set tonight...ssshhhhh ) I hate seeing all these lavender eggs recycled this way.

Wind has been howling here all afternoon, and my hair is full of static. Driving me nuts! Got the Barnies delivered to their owner, who was thrilled with the hatch. She wants me to do another batch, maybe in a month or so. Need to go back and catch up on the posts one of these days.

I gave up... Glad they were happy with the babies. Rub a sheet of Bounce over your hair! It works wonders.
