If they hatch and you bring them to me, we'll be giving you a turkey dinner someday... I wouldn't mind raising them for eats, but I won't breed them into Walnut's bloodlines...

but I think they would want to go wild if they did . but we'll see .I can shoot turkey dinner off the driveway .

Plants feed on the micro nutrients in the soil . If not replenished the soil becomes poor or the micro nutrients depleted . they must be replenished with organic matter . chemicals burn them up more or less . before you plant the wheat field again a good composted organic fertilizer will help the soil . or grow wheat and plow it in . your rabbit fertilizer gave them a good boost .

The wheat was mostly mowed down green thus a cover crop, it grew wild for the last 3 years (Theres still some there)

True, they might not hatch... but if they do, then they'll be poults like any other... if they imprint on a wild momma, then they'll be wild... if they imprint on you, then you've got a 2 legged dog on your hands...

The wheat was mostly mowed down green thus a cover crop, it grew wild for the last 3 years (Theres still some there)

what you do is while it's green and growing before it starts to put out seed stalks mow it down and plow it in .growing crops will deplete the soil and allowing them to die and decay on the surface will not replenish the soil fast enough . the practice of no till farming relies on large quantities of chemicals to feed the crops but is bad for the soil. you have to feed the soil . It is after all alive .

Thinking about shooting RATS I like shooting RATS this is war and I got the guns . but I'm going to bed now . I'll shoot RATS tomorrow night when I get home from the fancy dinner . means I have to dress up no work boots and blue jeans

Hi Phil! Made it to another weekend so it was a good day!

Weekend is guild friend another week in the books.....
What color are turkey eggs anyhow? the ones I found air speckled with brown spots .

My ducks are making lots of wild friends these days... I've got three mallards that keep coming to visit.. And today there was a Wild turkey hanging with the flock.....
