French frogs

:gig    He's the live in boyfriend (no more hubbies for me!) & no action for him tonight.  I'm too sleepy, plus his son is staying overnight with us tonight.

I still say he better watch out... I'm drinking coffee for ya!

Oh BTW, my boy got the internship at the firearms mfg. company. I'm helping him move tomorrow .

Your local county extension or community college should offer a mushroom identification class. I'd call them and ask, as what grows near you may vary a bit from what grows near me. But I've seen false morels, half cap morels, and true morels and once I'd seen all three the only way I could mix them up would be if I was picking in the dark.

This article mentions a place that gives classes. Be sure, and be safe.

Thanks! We have an abundance here and mushroom clubs but none really close to me.

I'll never forget when I was a transplant nurse and a whole family in liver failure was flown in from Northern California to our center and one in LA. Most recovered, one died, and it was touch and go for weeks for two of them. One guy was 23 and on the top of the transplant list, then go so sick he wouldn't have survived the surgery if we did get the call. He finally started to recover extremely slowly to the point he didn't need a transplant, but it took months. Not sure if he ever fully recovered or not, he was transferred to a hospital closer to his home.

Mushrooms can be deadly.

Not too bad. About a two hour drive. He's renting a room from one of two people which makes me a little nervous. But...he's 6'4" former college football player who can shoot the eyes out of a nat with a six gun so I'm sure he'll be okay, I hope!
Two hours is nice, close enough to come home for weekends, holidays, celebrations and what-not. Hope he enjoys the job.
